Foreword

Lionism offers us various opportunities to challenge our own limits, broaden our vision and walk that extra mile which, we would have never ever bothered otherwise to even think of. One such opportunity knocked my door, I would have never thought of blogging otherwise and here I am venturing into something that was unkown to me a few weeks ago.

During2007-08, when i was the Chief Editor of Lions Update, I saw to it that we go on the net and for the first time in our history, we had a Webiste of LIONS UPDATE. I had to depend upon my Son Cub Ishan Rajpurohit and my Cousin Ashwin to upload the info, pics and each of the updates on the net. This time around my son having gone to UK for heigher studies, the priviledge was no more available. However the desire to be on net never died. this quest made me to look for something i can handle myself. Thus the birth of this BLOG.

This BLOG makes LIONS UPDATE as a day to day online Magzine. Information can be uploaded on daily basis. Lions can participate in online discussion boards any time any where in the world. Online opinion polls can be run throughout and any one even without an E mail ID can participate in them. What else could one ask for? One does not need to have even an online ID to browse through. Information on upcomiong events can be uploaded and any one anywhere in the world can watch it any time he likes. This would for sure assist the District Administration in improving effective communications, especially in remote parts of the Distrtict for example Karnataka, where the snail mail takes time to reach, some times even after the program is over.

I bank upon the net savey members to participate enthusiastically in this online endavour and let the world know as to what they think. Do participate in the opinion polls, online discussion forums, speak yourself out.

The pitch is set, lets play to our hearts content.
