Dear Fellow Lions,What a pleasant task it is for me to see you on this BLOG. As the technology advance and new means of communications get invented, we transcend boundaries of time and space. This new Blog of LIONS UPDATE, conceived and created by Lion CA Manoj Mumar Purohit, Chief Editor of Lions Update is another record created by him. Each time he is given a task, he surprises all of us by a new concept addition.I am confident that this BLOG Will smash all the constrains faced as far as timely and effective communications are concerned and will definitely live up to its name LIONS UPDATE’, by updating us within minutes.What’s remarkable is that any one in the world can now get updated with the happenings in District 324-C2. An outstanding feature of this BLOG is that Lions anywhere can now communicate through this medium on day to day basis, which was not possible hitherto. Let us commit ourselves to Lionistic principles and touch as many lives as we can.

Message By Vice District Governor I

Blogging is a relatively new concept. The world is getting used to it. It does offer unlimited opportunities of effective communications not just among a community but the entire globe as a community or family. We can exchange our views in Blogs each second of the day as simply as we speak to our family members, freinds and staff.

Thanks to Lion Manoj for bringing this latest cocept to District 324-C2. He was the one who two years back brought LIONS UPDATE on the World Wide Web. Now this online version, that allows all of us to participate in the process by sharing our views on almost everything is definitely a welcome addition. Ours is perhaps the only Distrtict in the Multiple and among the firsts in the country to have such advanced features in the District Administration. As we top the world, we definitely needed such advance means of communication and an online magazine of our own.

Now any one, anywhere in the globe can just log on this Blog and know about all that District 324-C2 stands for and does for the downtrodden. A remarkable feat indeed.

I am glad to know that our District Bulletin Blog is created by my freind and Chief Editor Lion Manoj Kumar Purohit. Though this is a new concept, even amongst the net savey persons, still this BLOG, i believe will mark the begining of a new era in the functioning and communications pattern that will follow in the years to come at District 324-C2.

As the technology advance, we get closer, faster and more efficient. Let us work to strenthen the hands of our Governor Lion A Natraj and make all his dreams come true.

Foreword

Lionism offers us various opportunities to challenge our own limits, broaden our vision and walk that extra mile which, we would have never ever bothered otherwise to even think of. One such opportunity knocked my door, I would have never thought of blogging otherwise and here I am venturing into something that was unkown to me a few weeks ago.

During2007-08, when i was the Chief Editor of Lions Update, I saw to it that we go on the net and for the first time in our history, we had a Webiste of LIONS UPDATE. I had to depend upon my Son Cub Ishan Rajpurohit and my Cousin Ashwin to upload the info, pics and each of the updates on the net. This time around my son having gone to UK for heigher studies, the priviledge was no more available. However the desire to be on net never died. this quest made me to look for something i can handle myself. Thus the birth of this BLOG.

This BLOG makes LIONS UPDATE as a day to day online Magzine. Information can be uploaded on daily basis. Lions can participate in online discussion boards any time any where in the world. Online opinion polls can be run throughout and any one even without an E mail ID can participate in them. What else could one ask for? One does not need to have even an online ID to browse through. Information on upcomiong events can be uploaded and any one anywhere in the world can watch it any time he likes. This would for sure assist the District Administration in improving effective communications, especially in remote parts of the Distrtict for example Karnataka, where the snail mail takes time to reach, some times even after the program is over.

I bank upon the net savey members to participate enthusiastically in this online endavour and let the world know as to what they think. Do participate in the opinion polls, online discussion forums, speak yourself out.

The pitch is set, lets play to our hearts content.

RC ZC and Inner Cabinet Schooling at Hyderabad

An impressive RC, ZC and Inner Cabinet Training program was organized on 17th May 2009, at Celebrity Boutique Hotel, Begumpet. Attendance was impressive, Deliberations highly interactive and presentations excellent. Lion Prof G Manohar Rao, was the chief Guest and he impressed the new office bearers to be humble and focused. Governor Lion Natraj was his usual simplicity and direct to the point in his address. Lion Chenna Kishen Reddy, PDG highlighted the attention needed in Membership Growth, New Club formations and MJF enrolements. Lion R Sunil kumar, the then Governor in his usual impressive manner asked the delegates to commit or quit. VDG-I Lion S S Malhotra presented a power point presentation of Protocol effectively. Lion Tarachand shah asked the delegates to visualize a potentially high future and act towards it. Lion K Sai baba gave useful tips for effective utilization of time and told that time can not be managed but we have to learn managing ourselves.Lion N Mohan Doss not just compared the program, but gave an effective presentation on Zone chairmen’s responsibilities. Lion M V Chary got the District Directory Appeal released.Region Chairpersons gave an insight into their plans and commitments for the success of Lionistic year 2009-10.Program ended with vote of thanks by VDG-II Lion J Ramesh Babu.
