SECOND VICE PRESIDENT

Wing-Kun Tam, of Hong Kong, China, was elected as second vice president of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 92nd International Convention, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA July 6-10, 2009.

Vice President Tam is the chairperson of an air transportation company.
A member of the Mt. Cameron Lions Club since 1981, Vice President Tam has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, region chair, district governor, 1992 International Convention Host and Bidding chair, Campaign SightFirst multinational secretary coordinator and recording secretary, District Governor-elect Seminar group leader, SightFirst China Action executive chair, International Convention Bidding Committee executive chair, LCIF Executive Committee member, LCIF Public Relations Committee member and five-time board appointee.

Abhilasha PST Seminar At Sedam

Region Chairperson Lion S B Sunkad organized PST Training Seminar At Sedam on 11th July at the spacious Vasavdatta Recreation Centre. He was ably assisted by all the three Zone Chairman Lion Ramanuj Das Soni, Lion Gurulingayya Swamy and Lion G G Ghanate. Region Secretary Lion Omprakash Ladda ensured excellent arrangements, while while District Secretary for the Region Lion Ramesh Chandra Pandit helped out in planning and organization of the Seminar. Faculty Lion N Mohan Doss, Lion M K R Purohit and Lion M V Chary guided the Presidents, Secretaries and the Treasurers respectively. Participants paid rich compliments on the Training they received.

Preliminary District Cabinet Meeting

Preliminary Cabinet meeting was held at Lions Bhawan on 23rd June. Essential Business of the District like Opening of Bank Account, Presentation and approval of Budget for the Lionistic year 2009-10 was carried out. The Cabinet was introduced by the 2009-10 DG lion Natraj. District Logo for the year was released.

Update Blog was Inaugurated by the District Governor Lion A Natraj during the Preliminary Cabinet Meeting. Lion MKR Purohit the Creator and Administrator of the Blog explained the features to the cabinet members.

Bon Voyage Function of Lion A Natraj District Governor

District Governor Lion A Natraj was given a warm and Grand Reception by the Lions of the District, Cabinet Members and Club Officers as he was to leave for International Convention at Minneapolis, where he would be ceremoniously installed as Governor of District 324-C2.
